Bank of America stadium adds new bunker-style suites in effort to improve premium fan experience

David Tepper and Tepper Sports & Entertainment recently began the work to renovate a portion of Bank of America Stadium to make way for a bank of new bunker-suites according to a statement released by the organization. The move is a part of the organization's plans to add more luxury products for fans attending sporting events at the now 25 year old venue. The new suites will be built in the west end zone at Bank of America Stadium and are scheduled to be complete by kickoff of the 2020 Panthers season.

The project will result in 14 bunker suites, each with a capacity to host a minimum of 12 people. The bunker suites will combine field‐level seating with premium amenities including our best all‐inclusive food and beverage options. Fans will also be able to enjoy close-up views of the team as they take the field. The first experience with such products in the queen city started when the Charlotte Knights introduced their new dugout suites and should give fans a similar experience.

Gensler & Associates is the architect. Rodgers Builders is the contractor. Tepper Sports & Entertainment is funding this project.

While the project only affects fewer than 900 seats of the 75,412 stadium capacity, TSE is currently contacting each impacted account holder directly to find an individualized solution that works best for them. Account holders will have the option to move their seats to any available lower level seat in their current PSL location at no additional PSL cost and no additional ticket price increase. They will also have the option to move to a more expensive PSL location in the lower bowl with no additional PSL cost, but they will experience a ticket price increase. If account holders opt not to relocate, reimbursement will be offered.

Tepper has shown his commitment to creating one of the best experiences for fans in the country despite the age of the current facility. In 2019 TSE added the Atrium Health Dome, the Carolina Panthers new climate‐controlled indoor practice facility. The dome is located on one half of the Panthers' practice fields and provides the team an indoor practice area for the first time in team history. It also serves as a multi‐purpose event space, as a gameday destination for fans and as a host for community and corporate events. "We've got a number of things coming down the pike ...but this was the first one we felt would be a big win," Joe LaBue said.

TSE is bringing more sports, concerts and entertainment options, including international and MLS soccer matches as well as Garth Brooks, Billy Joel and Def Leppard and Motley Crue.

And the most anticipated event during the Panthers off-season will be held Thu Mar 26 | 07:00 PM - 11:00 PM when the Mexican National Team takes on the Czech Republic.
