Carolina Panthers In Danger of Big Names Missing Matchup with Dallas Cowboys

CHARLOTTE, NC - On Thursday, the Carolina Panthers continued preparations for their Week 6 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. The team has been measuring the day-to-day progress about returning wide receiver Jalen Coker who has officially been added to the 21-day window to return to the active roster.

Coker was placed on injured reserve back in late August after a quadriceps injury in practice. He was in practice on Thursday sporting a #19 jersey and participated in some of the early drills during the portion of practice open to the media. Coker opened up about how the Thursday practice would be a big test of where he was physically.

As for the rest of the injury report for Thursday, there were still some notable names on the mend.

Panthers’ right tackle Taylor Moton arrived at practice but not in uniform. He was not seen working out on the sidelines.

Chuba Hubbard, who failed to make it into the lineup in Week 5 and was not in uniform for the second straight day during the portion of practice open to the media. Hubbard did warm up on the sideline and was later seen observing practice. He was later deemed a DNP for Thursday’s practice.  

Another notable name listed as of Thursday was Turk Wharton who continues to grapple with a toe injury. He was a DNP for the second straight day this week.

The Panthers (2-3) host the Cowboys (2-2-1) Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC at 1:00 p.m. ET.
