As the Carolina Panthers continue their preparation for their Week 5 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, one of the biggest concerns is getting players off the injury report. This week there have been several key names to make progress. Chuba Hubbard remained a DNP for the second straight day. All signs are pointing towards Rico Dowdell as the go-to guy for Week 5.
Another of the biggest names, that actually took a step forward is wide receiver Xavier Legette. Sidelined for two games with a hamstring injury, Legette has struggled all season with finding his place in the Panthers’ offense while rookie receiver Tetairoa McMillan has thrived.
Legette was a full participant in practice for the second straight day.
Other notable names listed as DNP on Thursday’s report were Tershawn Wharton (toe), cornerback Chau Smith-Wade (chest), and tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle).
