CHARLOTTE, NC - Heading into their Week 6 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, the Carolina Panthers are hopeful about returning wide receiver Jalen Coker who has officially been added to the 21-day window to return to the active roster. Coker was placed on injured reserve back in late August after a quadriceps injury in practice. Coker, (pictured below doing sideline work in practice on October 2, 2025 practice) was in practice on Wednesday sporting a #3 jersey and participated in some of the early drills in the portion of practice open to the media. "I just want to stay healthy. I feel like that's my biggest thing, that's what holding me back," Coker said on Wednesday.
"Today was a lighter day. Tomorrow's gonna be real test."
As for the rest of the injury report for Wednesday, there were still some notable names on the mend.
Chuba Hubbard failed to make it into the lineup in Week 5 and was not in uniform during the portion of practice open to the media. However, Hubbard did warm up with the team and was seen working out on the sideline. He was later deemed a DNP for Wednesday’s practice.
Other notable names listed as DNP were Turk Wharton, Chau Smith-Wade and Taylor Moton.
The Panthers (2-3) host the Cowboys (2-2-1) Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC at 1:00 p.m. ET.
