CHARLOTTE, NC - Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers fully turned their attention to Sunday’s matchup with the New York Jets as they look for win number four this season.
The team has been measuring the day-to-day progress about returning wide receiver Jalen Coker who still has 14 days left in the 21-day window to return to the active roster.
Coker was placed on injured reserve back in late August after a quadriceps injury in practice. He continued in practice on Wednesday.
The rest of the injury report to kick off the week includes some players that will definitely be a welcomed return as the team looks to bolster depth.
Chuba Hubbard, who failed to make it into the lineup in Week 5 and 6 was in uniform and was listed as a full participant. Hubbard’s starting status, however, has been questions due to the recent success of Rico Dowdle. But both running backs have been vocal about it not being a factor in the locker room and that everything revolves around the effort to notch wins.
Another notable name listed as of Wednesday was Turk Wharton who continues to grapple with a toe injury. He was a DNP for the second straight day this week.
The Panthers (3-3) travel to face the Jets (0-6) Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ at 1:00 p.m. ET.
