Wake Forest ready for a resurrection
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons were not in the top-25 conversation after the 2021 season. That was mostly due to the lack of defensive prowess. This year the team hopes to be on the list and more. Starting quarterback Sam Hartman focused primarily on the team's offense which is stacked with plenty of weapons like A.T Perry, Taylor Morin, Donavon Greene.
The defense, under new defensive coordinator Brad Lambert will feature edge rusher Rondell Bothroyd who garnered 16.5 tackles for loss last year. Their goal - to lower the 31.2 points per game average that also gave up 195.6 yards per game on the ground.
Day two of the ACC Kickoff features Mack Brown and his North Carolina Tar Heels along with Miami, Pitt, Virginia, Duke, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.
