Panthers final injury report holds hope for matchup against Buccaneers despite Jaycee Horn status
As the Carolina Panthers get set to take on top ranked division rival the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, injuries have definitely affected the roster in key areas. None greater, however, than, than the defense. Cornerback Jaycee Horn was ruled out for this week's matchup after having wrist surgery for an injury he suffered during last week's win over the Detroit Lions. The Panthers lose Horn's 37 solo tackles, 3 interceptions and 7 passes defended.
Josh Norman was signed by the team earlier this week and will be active on Sunday to bring a wealth of veteran experience to the lineup. The history between Norman and interim head coach Steve Wilks should make for a smooth transition into the action. The drawback is that Norman is now 35 years old which will surely limit his reps this week and the foreseeable future.
