Panthers already starting to gel as training camp enters fourth day


The Carolina Panthers continued training camp activities at Wofford College in Spoartnaburg, SC today.


Curtis Samuel impressed camp-goers as well as the Panthers' coaching staff with a wealth of catches. Samuel was the target of Cam Newton during one of the more impressive grabs of the day - a day that saw Newton perform solidly as well.


Teammate Jarius Wright commented on how the core of receivers is bonding and the benefits of the comradery . "We like working together and I think it shows on the field," Wright said.


Although the offense spread the ball around more, Christian McCaffrey remained the most relied upon option.


Panthers head coach Ron Rivera remained upbeat about the progress of the offense - including the stability of Cam Newton. "You see the progression and you see the decision making more than anything else," Rivera said.


On the defensive side of the ball, the rookie watch continued on first-round draft pick Brian Burns. Burns showed off his ability to get to the quarterback as he

Gerald McCoy exercised a "Vet day" and was not in pads during practice today.
