One day after the Carolina Panthers took a stunning loss to the Arizona Cardinals Matt Rhule addressed the media about many issues the team is facing. The most asked about topics, however, were about Rhule's job safety and whether his system might be the biggest contributing factor in the losses this season.

Rhule quickly dismissed any idea that he felt threatened about losing his job with the team any time soon. "If I make it about me I'm not really the coach I want to be," Rhule told reporters.

With regard to the offensive woes which include Mayfield's struggles in the pocket, he still stood behind his system and his choice at quarterback. "Baker's always been a winner ...I think Baker would be the first to tell you he wants to play better," Rhule said.

"We have to continue to find ways to help him."

Bake Mayfield went 22 for 36 in last Sunday's game and had five passes tipped by the defense. He also threw two interceptions. But despite all of those developments, Matt Rhule did not give any indication he would be changing the system in any major way.

The team's starting right tackle Taylor Moton chimed in on the emotional toll the mounting losses are having on him. "It hurts a lot," Moton said.

"You just gotta, like I said before, just trust the process you know."

The Carolina Panthers are now turning their attention to their next matchup. The team hosts the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Oct. 9 at 4:05 p.m. ET at Bank of America stadium.
