Charlotte FC soccer scores big win in the hearts of local schools with gift of new sports equipment
CHARLOTTE, NC - Charlotte FC continued its mission to help improve the experiences and lives for youth in the Charolotte regiond this week. The organization donated sports equipment at McClintock Middle School as part of a goal to donate items to 14 underpriveledged schools in the district.
This was part of a larger, multi-day initiative to help promote healthy relationships with sports and exercise by providing sporting equipment to school athletic departments that may need additional support.
Director of Community Engagement at Charlotte FC Dustin Swinehart and other team staff presented the equipment to the group of students at McClintock before conducting soccer drills with them. The equipment included baseballs, softballs, footballs, basketballs, volleyballs and soccer balls.
This week, the Club has dropped off equipment to the other 13 schools including Albemarle Road Middle School, Cochrane Collegiate Academy, Coulwood Middle School, Eastway Middle School, James Martin Middle School, Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, McClintock Middle School, Northeast Middle School, North Ridge Middle School, Quail Hollow Middle School, Ranson Middle School, Ridge Road Middle School, Wilson STEM Academy and Whitewater Middle School.
