Carolina Panthers' Tuesday practice filled with new injury issues
The Carolina Panthers continued with their morning practice schedule as training camp rolled on in Spartanburg, SC. But it wouldn't be without what is becoming a sore spot for the Panthers. The injury monster attacked the Panthers' lineup again. Once again it was a member of the O-line that went down.
Amini Silatolu suffered an injury to his left knee. Coach Ron Rivera remains optimistic and expressed those sentiments during the mid-morning press conference.
On the other side of the ball, however, there was energy and exuberance from several players including Cornerback Kevon Seymour who picked off two Taylor Heinicke passes. And on the final play of the session, Shaq Thompson got everyone fired up when he showed off his leaping ability and intercepted a Cam Newton pass.
After practice, staying true to his commitment to give back to the community, #97, DE Mario Addison stayed late to share some face-to-face time with a select group of kids. The young visitors greeted Addison on the practice field where they exchanged stories and athletic techniques. They even had the chance to get some NFL-style camera time. Later, each child received a $100.00 gift card provided by Academy Sports and Outdoors.

Addison, who was also plagued by trouble at a young age, participated in the event to continue to give kids opportunities he was never afforded during his childhood. During his interview with ADSN's Taylor Davis Addison said, "I always go back and show them that this is where I cam from but I made it out." He further explained, "All you gotta do is have the mindset."
The Panthers travel to Buffalo to face the Bills for their preseason opener on Thursday at 7:00 PM ET.
